Role Description
We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our team and help us monitor our current operations to ensure our organization is as efficient as possible.
Your responsibilities include ensuring products meet established quality standards and reducing inefficiency. You have to analyze operations and design workflows and production processes to reduce loss along the way while still meeting customer needs.
Ultimately, you will work with organizational leaders and other Engineers to maximize productivity and reduce wastefulness in the production process.
Responsibilities
1. Process Optimization and Efficiency
- Analyze and design efficient workflows and production layouts, applying principles of lean manufacturing (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) and Six Sigma.
- Conduct time studies, method analysis, and work measurement to establish accurate production standards, balance work lines, and identify bottlenecks.
- Implement and manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems related to production and inventory.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key manufacturing processes.
2. Cost Reduction and Quality Improvement
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction through process improvements, waste minimization, and efficient resource allocation (labor, materials, energy).
- Work with the Quality Assurance team to implement process controls that reduce defects (scrap/rework) and improve overall product quality.
Required Qualifiations
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a metal fabrication, HVAC, or refrigeration/cooling equipment sector.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
